history

Zeppelin NT at Friedrichshafen Airport

Deutsche Zeppelin-Reederei was founded in January 2001 and is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Zeppelin Luftschifftechnik GmbH, for which, among other things , it takes over the operation of airships , comparable to an airline in conventional air traffic.

A company under the name "Deutsche Zeppelin-Reederei" was founded for the second time after 1935. At that time, the Deutsche Zeppelin-Reederei was founded by Luftschiffbau Zeppelin with state participation as a carrier for Zeppelin airships .

In the 2006 financial year , DZR achieved a balanced operating result for the first time.

Services

Deutsche Zeppelin-Reederei primarily operates passenger flights over Lake Constance and, on selected dates, over Munich, the Rhineland and Frankfurt am Main . It also markets the oversized advertising space (approx. 2,000 m² each) on the Zeppelins . In the context of scientific research projects, the Zeppelin NT with its unique flight characteristics has proven to be the ideal platform. The shipping company is a competence and service center for all flight operations and the only recognized training center for Zeppelin pilots worldwide.
