The Bremerhaven Airline was a small airline that offered flights from the Bremerhaven-Luneort airfield to the East Frisian Islands .
history
Bremerhaven Airline flew with aircraft of the type Britten-Norman BN-2 Islander .
On December 26, 2001, a Britten-Norman BN-2 Islander of the company crashed shortly after take-off. Eight people died ( see article: Airplane crash in Bremerhaven ).
According to this, around 5000 fewer passengers were carried at the Bremerhaven-Luneort airfield compared to the previous year, whereupon the Bremerhaven Airline had to file for bankruptcy. From May 2002 the company Luftverkehr Friesland Harle (LFH) took over flights in the direction of the East Frisian Islands. The Bremerhaven Airline ticket counter was taken over by the Bremen-based airline Silverbird.
