The city-pairs GmbH (initially also DUS air service ) was a German airline with headquarters in Dusseldorf and Monchengladbach .
History and destinations
City-Flug was founded in 1975; The company operated from Düsseldorf and Mönchengladbach in the business aircraft charter , but was also active as an aeronautical company .
After the DLT had stopped the regular traffic between the airports Paderborn and Frankfurt in 1980, the Paderborn Flight Travel Service , in which both the Nixdorf Computer AG and the Paderborn district held shares, took over the responsibility for maintaining the connection. However, since Flight Travel Service itself was not involved in operational flight operations, it had City-Flug operate the route after a tender. In addition to Paderborn - Frankfurt, the latter also flew on the Frankfurt - Eindhoven - Enschede route between autumn 1981 and spring 1982, and the City-Flug also connected Mönchengladbach and Metz under the brand name Deutscher Flugdienst .
In 1982, however, flight operations were discontinued and the company was liquidated; the RFG - regional airline bought a repossessed by the city-pairs Metro II as part of a foreclosure and thus took the first machine of this type in its fleet.
