Bremenfly was a German airline based at Berlin-Schönefeld Airport .

history

Bremenfly was founded as Bremenfly GmbH at Bremen Airport in early 2008 and received its first Boeing 737-400 with the aircraft registration D-ABRE with 168 seats in January 2009 . The airline was granted its operating license on April 15, 2009. Bremenfly's maiden flight was a charter flight to the UEFA Cup final on May 20, 2009 in Istanbul .

In April 2010 the company headquarters moved from Bremen Airport to Berlin-Schönefeld Airport.

After a further aircraft was originally supposed to add to the fleet for the 2009 summer flight schedule, Bremenfly received its second Boeing 737-400 on June 16, 2010 with the D-ABRF . The airline announced that the aircraft would be needed for full charter due to the steadily increasing number of passengers and the additional contracts concluded. A third aircraft of the same type was to join the fleet before the end of the year. In the medium term, additional machines should complement the fleet as needed.

In September 2010 it became known that criminal proceedings were pending against the managing director of Bremenfly on suspicion of particularly serious breach of trust. As a result, flight operations were discontinued in November 2010.

aims

Bremenfly primarily offered short and medium-haul flights to cities and holiday destinations for various German tour operators. The company's flights were carried out exclusively in charter. From the German departure points Berlin-Schönefeld, Düsseldorf and Munich as well as from other European departure points it went to destinations in Turkey as well as to Tel Aviv , Pristina and Iraq . Other activities related to special air traffic (ad hoc charter).
