The Cessna 404 Titan is a ten-seat passenger, business and cargo aircraft produced by the Cessna Aircraft Company without a pressurized cabin . It is driven by two piston engines.

History and Development

The Cessna 404 was developed as a (91 cm) stretched version from the Cessna 402 B. The prototype completed its maiden flight on February 26, 1975 and delivery began in October 1976. One of the hallmarks of this type is the horizontal stabilizer with a positive V position , which is new for Cessna machines . The machine is powered by two turbocharged GTSIO-520-M engines. It is considered to be a very versatile and relatively robust, but not exactly low-noise aircraft.

Initially there was a version called the Ambassador with an interior for business travelers and the Titan Courier with up to ten seats for cargo and passenger service. By 1982, the range was increased to seven versions. By the time production was phased out in the same year, a total of 378 machines of the type had been sold.
