The Cessna 441 Conquest II is a twin-engine business jet for 2 pilots and a maximum of 9 passengers.
Development and technology
The Cessna 441 is the first aircraft from the US manufacturer Cessna to be equipped with turboprop engines. After initial problems with vibrations on the horizontal stabilizer had been corrected , the first units were delivered in 1977.
The Cessna 441 is equipped with a pressurized cabin and can operate at altitudes of up to 35,000 feet . The maximum cruising speed is 294 knots , the range is approx. 2000 nm .
With certain modifications, the Garrett TPE 331-8-401S engines can be operated at higher temperatures than the standard version. With these variants called "Super 8" or "Dash 10", the performance of the engines can be increased considerably (better climbing behavior and higher cruising speed).
By the end of production in 1986, 362 machines had been manufactured.
