The Citation Longitude is an aircraft from the US manufacturer Textron Aviation as a super-midsize business jet.
The first flight of over two hours took place on October 8, 2016 with test pilots Ed Wenninger and Stuart Rogerson at the controls from the company's own Beechfield airfield in Wichita, USA. It took about four years from the announcement of the new model in May 2012 at the EBACE in Geneva to the first test flight. The first series machine should also be tested by the end of the year. Approval should take place in the third or fourth quarter of 2017, and the first customer machines should be delivered immediately after approval.
description
The aircraft should offer a high level of passenger comfort. It offers plenty of space for twelve passengers who can control the entertainment on offer with their smartphones and who have an Internet connection at their disposal. The minimum pressure in the cabin in flight should correspond to that at an altitude of 1800 m. The cabin allows you to stand in it with a height of 1.83 meters. The seating configuration corresponds to the Double Club arrangement with armchairs that can be rotated by 180 degrees. The luggage compartment is accessible from the cabin during the flight.
The Longitude has FADEC -controlled Honeywell HTF7700 L turbofan engines with an integrated auto-throttle system. Also on board is the latest generation of the Garmin G5000 avionics system, which works with three 14 "touchscreen monitors and four smaller screens. The spacious cockpit with good all-round visibility offers an optional head-up display.
