KFNB - Antelope I to Mazeppa
The steam locomotives "ANTILOPE I" to "MAZEPPA" were passenger locomotives of the KFNB . They were delivered to KFNB in 1857 by the StEG locomotive factory in Vienna with the axle formula 1B. The machines had internal cylinders and a fire box that sagged a long way between the coupling axles, with the associated problem that the last axle was not sufficiently loaded. The angular wheel arches above the coupled wheels were striking.
The machines were refueled after 1867 .
Four of the six machines were retired in 1868 , the remaining two, the "MAZEPPA" and the "STEPHENSON" followed in 1874 .
