List of locomotives of old Austrian state railways

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The old state railways of Austria-Hungary came into being when the state realized that the construction and operation of railways needed a central line. For financial reasons, however, these state railways were privatized relatively soon. When the state intervened again later in the railway system, the state operating network of the kkStB was established in 1878 .

Kk Southern State Railway (SStB)

Opened October 21, 1844 , operated by the Vienna – Gloggnitz Railway . Own operation from May 1851 , Südbahngesellschaft from September 23, 1858 .
