The LVCI 51-60 were steam locomotives of the Lombard Venetian and Central Italian Railway Company (LVCI), a private Austrian-Hungarian railway company .
The ten locomotives were delivered to the LVCI by Köchlin in 1857/58. They were given the names "MERCURIO", "BACCO", "GANYMEDE", "GIANO", "APOLLO", "ULISSE", "ORAZIO", "ARISTOFANE", "SOFOCLE" and "PLUTARCO". The Südbahngesellschaft (SB) took over these locomotives as class 4 . In 1867 the ten locomotives came to Strade Ferrate Alta Italia (SFAI).
Via the Rete Adriatica , another piece came to the FS in 1905 as 1197 . The other nine machines were taken out of service by the RA from 1898 to 1903.
