The NStB - Sternberg to Meyerhöfen were steam locomotives of the kk Northern State Railway (NStB).

history

The eleven locomotives were delivered by the Wiener Neustädter Lokomotivfabrik in 1845 . They were modeled on the 2A locomotives by William Norris in Philadelphia and had inclined cylinders that were located above the first axle of the front bogie. The NStB gave them the names STERNBERG , HRADSCHIN , TRÜBAU , REICHENAU , OLMÜTZ , ALTSTADT , PRAG , BÖHMEN , KARLSTEIN , KÖNIGSSAAL and MEYERHÖFEN and the company numbers 11–21. The first four had smaller drive wheels than the following machines and thus a lower weight and a smaller wheelbase.

When the NStB was sold to the Staats-Eisenbahn-Gesellschaft (StEG), a private Austrian-Hungarian railway company, in 1855 , the machines were given the operating numbers 12–22. Numbers 12-15 were sold to the Prague Iron Industry Company in 1858 . From then on, they were used on the Kladno-Nučice Railway (KND), a mining railway near Kladno.

Both the StEG vehicles and those of the Prager Eisenindustrie-Gesellschaft were sorted out and scrapped in the 1860s.
