The steam locomotives "DORNAU" to "NEUSTADT" were eleven passenger locomotives of the Vienna – Raaber (Gloggnitzer) Railway (WRB).
Since the WRB was not satisfied with the performance of the "PHILADELPHIA" , the "LAXENBURG" and "BADEN" , it ordered eleven 1A1 machines from three English locomotive factories. All machines were delivered in 1840 . The “DORNAU”, “GLOGGNITZ”, “REICHENAU”, “GUTTENSTEIN”, “RAAB” and “RAUHENSTEIN” came from Stephenson , the “MÖDLING” from Hawthorn in Newcastle upon Tyne and the “VÖSLAU”, “BRÜHL”, “VIENNA” "And" NEUSTADT "from Sharp . The "WIEN" was renamed "PRESSBURG" when the "WIEN II" was delivered to the StEG locomotive factory . The table shows the differences in the dimensions of the individual locomotives.
The "DORNAU" exploded in 1843. All other machines came to the Southern State Railroad in 1853 . The "REICHENAU", the "RAAB" and the "RAUHENSTEIN" came to the Eastern State Railways in 1856 and seem to have been shut down before 1858 . The "MÖDLING" was eliminated in 1858 , the "GLOGGNITZ" and the "GUTTENSTEIN" in 1859 . The remaining machines came to the Südbahn as SB 801-804 and were retired in 1860 .
