The GALANTHA to SZOBB were four separate tender locomotives of the Austro-Hungarian Imperial and Royal South Eastern State Railways (SöStB) .

With these four machines, the SöStB increased its number of 1B passenger locomotives. The locomotives were delivered by Maffei in Munich in 1850 and were given the names GALANTHA , SELLYE , UDVARD and SZOBB and the company numbers 53–56. Compared to the GYULA to MONOSTOR , which were delivered a year later , they already had the modern semi-cylindrical standing boiler ceiling .

When the SöStB was sold to the Staats-Eisenbahn-Gesellschaft (StEG) in 1855 , the machines were initially given the company numbers 370–373, and from 1873 336–339. All four were retired before 1897.
