The Grumman Gulfstream II is a long-range business jet with two jet engines . The aircraft was manufactured by Grumman , and from 1978 by Gulfstream American .
history
In May 1965 Grumman presented a jet-powered version of the Gulfstream I . The aircraft had two Rolls-Royce-Spey engines attached to the rear . While the fuselage was taken over from the predecessor, the wings and the tail unit were largely redesigned. The model was named Gulfstream II .
The maximum capacity is nineteen passengers, the standard version had eight to twelve seats.
The first flight took place on October 2, 1966, series production began in December 1967. A total of 258 units were built. The successor was the Gulfstream III .

When the aircraft was still being produced by the Grumman company, they named the aircraft with the company's internal number 1159.

The US military version is designated as the C-11 "Gulfstream II".
