Enrique Sánchez González
Enrique Sánchez González MCCJ (born January 27, 1958 in Sahuayo de Morelos , Mexico ) is a Roman Catholic religious priest . He was Superior General of the Comboni Missionaries from 2009 to 2015 .
Life
Enrique Sánchez González joined the order of the Comboni Missionaries of the Heart of Jesus and studied theology in Paris from 1980 to 1984. He was ordained a priest on September 29, 1984 . He then worked in Mexico, from 1991 to 1998 Provincial of the Mexican Comboni Missionaries. In 1998 he went to the Democratic Republic of the Congo as a missionary , where between 2000 and 2004 he was also responsible for training the Comboni missionaries. In 2005 he went to Guatemala and was later superior of the Central American order delegation.
The XVII. The General Chapter of the Comboni Missionaries in Rome elected Enrique Sánchez González to succeed Teresino Serra as the new Superior General of the Order for a term of six years.
