Enrique Vera (athlete)

Enrique Vera Ybañez (born May 31, 1954 ) is a retired Mexican walker .

In 1975 he was Central America and Caribbean champion in the 20 km walk . The following year, walking 50 km was not part of the program of the Montreal Olympics . Instead, a competition over 50 km walking was held as the World Athletics Championships in 1976 , in which Vera won silver. In 1977 he also won silver at the Central America and Caribbean Championships over 20 km.

At the World Athletics Championships in Helsinki in 1983 , he came over 20 km on the 16th place; at the 1991 World Championships in Tokyo, he was disqualified over 50 km.
