Ensemble l'Itinéraire
The Ensemble l'Itinéraire is a French ensemble . It was founded in 1973 by Michaël Levinas , Tristan Murail , Hugues Dufourt , Gérard Grisey and Roger Tessier and is closely related to the French composer group L'Itinéraire .

The Paris-based ensemble is dedicated exclusively to contemporary music; In addition to the dissemination of works by the L'Itinéraire group , it contributed to making Giacinto Scelsi known in broader circles as early as the 1970s . The numerous world premieres include a large number of compositions by French composers. The ensemble made CD recordings a. a. with works by Franck Bedrossian , Bruno Mantovani and Marc-André Dalbavie , as well as works by co-founders Michaël Levinas, Tristan Murail, Hugues Dufourt and Gérard Grisey. The ensemble is one of the leading European ensembles for new music .
