The Pyongyang Maternity Clinic ( kor. 평양 산원) is a hospital specializing in childbirth and also a teaching hospital in the North Korean capital Pyongyang . It is one of the largest medical institutions in the country.

history

The complex was built in 1979, opened on February 24, 1980 and put into operation on July 30, 1980. Since 2000, it has procured $ 6 million in new medical equipment . Around 70 children are born here every day.

The hospital is located in the district taedonggang-guyok in Tongmun-dong at the Sanwon Street .
