Entrance Shoal is a shoal off the Mawson Coast of the East Antarctic Mac Robertson Land . Its shallowest depth is 7.9 m below sea level. It is located immediately west of Entrance Island at the northwest entrance to Horseshoe Harbor in Holme Bay .
The hydrographer D'Arcy Thomas Gale (* 1911) mapped the shoal in February 1961 from aboard the ship Thala Dan during a campaign as part of the Australian National Antarctic Research Expeditions . The naming was based on that of Entrance Island.
