Disposal Commission

The Disposal Commission (ESK) is a committee of experts founded in 2008 that advises the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety on issues relating to nuclear disposal (e.g. interim storage of radioactive substances and waste, dismantling of nuclear facilities, disposal in deep geological formations). Michael Sailer has been chairman of the ESK since 2008 .
