drafts was a Swiss literary magazine.

The magazine was published from 1986 to 1991 by the authors' forum opposition ( Max Frisch , Alexander J. Seiler , Arnold Künzli , Otto F. Walter , Erica Pedretti and Adolf Muschg ).

In 1995 the company was re-established and merged with the magazine zündschrift , which also resulted in a new layout .

drafts was published quarterly until the end of 2013 with a print run of a good 1000 copies, until the end of 2018 with a print run of 500 copies every six months. At the end of 2018, the magazine was discontinued with issue no.86.

The magazine worked with a thematic focus, but gave young authors (including Jessica Falzoi, Lorenz Langenegger , Giuliano Musio, Merle Müller-Knapp, Leif Randt, Karsten Redmann, Jochen Schmidt, Andreas Thamm) the opportunity to print their as yet unpublished texts in each issue .

A photography and an art section, along with essay contributions and book reviews, should round off the offer.

Well-known authors such as Lukas Bärfuss , Peter Weber , Kevin Kuhn , Gion Mathias Cavelty , Roman Graf , Ruth Schweikert , Kristin T. Schnider , Katharina Hacker , Hansjörg Schertenleib and other well-established authors published their early texts in drafts .
