Enzo Biliotti

Enzo Biliotti , actually Lorenzo Biliotti , (born June 28, 1887 in Livorno , † November 19, 1976 in Bologna ) was an Italian actor .

Life

Biliotti started his stage career as an ensemble member of the Compagnia of Luigi Carini / Olga Vittoria Gentilli and then with Gemma Bolognesi . From 1922 to 1924 he joined Virgilio Talli and was employed by the Piccola Canobb "" iana in Milan for the next season . Further stations were the "Teatro d'Arte" in the Italian capital and the groups around Alda Borelli , Dina Galli (1927) and Dora Menichelli (1928/1929). Then Biliotti tried his hand at revues by Guido Salvati ; Campo di maggio was a great success. In 1931 the third edition of Za-Bum was the last chance to see him on stage for a few years. In 1938 and 1946 (alongside Lilia Silvi ) he played again in the theater.

After a silent film in 1922, the film had given Biliotti the opportunity to play numerous character and supporting roles from 1933 onwards with its offers and opportunities, which he played until the mid-1950s; his interpretation of Napoleon III was more successful . in his first sound film Villafranca , La contessa Castiglione in 1942 and (from the same year) his Philip IV in Don Cesare di Bazan .

Biliotti was married to Lia Di Lorenzo and had lived in an old people's home for actors, the Bolognese "Lyda Borelli", since 1958 .
