Encyclopedia of Modern Ukraine
The Encyclopedia of modern Ukraine ( Ukrainian Енциклопедія сучасної України / Enzyklopedija sutschasnoji Ukrajiny (ESU) , English Encyclopedia of Modern Ukraine ) is one of the Kiev Institute of encyclopedic research of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine in the Ukrainian language published Encyclopedia on the Ukraine the 20th century. and 21st century. The participation of the authors, who are mostly scientists, is voluntary.
The Ukrainian universal encyclopedia , initially planned to be 30 volumes , of which 21 volumes up to the letter M have been published so far, includes all areas of life in Ukraine: history , culture , art and literature , science, geography , nature, the political system, the Ukrainian economy and industry as well Sport and youth culture.
The encyclopedia, which has been published since 2001, will contain more than 100,000 articles with around 80,000 illustrations and color drawings. To date, 10,000 copies of each volume have been printed. As before, supplements are occasionally added to Volume 8.
