Eomys quercyi , also called spoon or enspelmaus , is an extinct rodent species from Europe. These weremouse-like animals capable of gliding .

To glide, they used thin membranes that stretched from the front to the rear limbs on either side of the body. Another flight membrane stretched between the front limbs. With their long tail, the animals could control their flight.

Its German name is derived from the place where it was found, a quarry on the Stöffel mountain near Stockum-Püschen in the Westerwald . The closest place is Enspel .

Eomys quercyi is in the extinct group of Eomyidae belongs, to a pocket rodents counting rodent group. The Eomyidae were widespread from the Eocene to the Pliocene in North America and Eurasia, but apart from this species are largely only documented by dental finds. The species lived about 25 million years ago.
