The Eparchy of Notre-Dame du Liban de Paris ( lat. : Eparchia Dominae Nostrae Libanensis Parisiensis Maronitarum ) is in France located eparchy of the Maronite Church , based in Paris . The eponymous cathedral Notre-Dame du Liban is located on rue d'Ulm in the 5th arrondissement of Paris .

Pope Benedict XVI It was erected on July 21, 2012. Previously, the Maronite believers were placed under the jurisdiction of the Ordinariate for Byzantine Believers in France , established on June 16, 1954. The first bishop and apostolic visitor in Western and Northern Europe for the Maronite believers was priest Nasser Gemayel, previously pastor of the parish of St. Tekla in Masqua ( Lebanon ).
