Epsilon Volantis (ε Vol / ε Volantis) is a triple star system in the constellation of the flying fish . The system is about 642 light years from Earth. At Epsilon Volantis, two 4.5 mag bright stars and one only 8 mag faint star orbit each other at an apparent distance of 6.1 arc seconds . The two stars of the component Epsilon Volantis A are a spectroscopic binary star and, together with the companion Epsilon Volantis B, form a system with an orbital period of about 14.17 days. Epsilon Volantis A, is a blue and white subgiant B-type.
