The Epson PX-8 was a laptop computer the company Epson , who came in 1984 to the market. The computer was equipped with a small LCD that could display 80 characters in eight lines. The Epson operating system was the CP / M (version 2.2) , which was still widely used at the time . In addition, the computer offered the BASIC programming language in ROM .

The computer was sold as a portable business computer which, with its programs, such as word processing ( WordStar ), spreadsheets ( Portable Calc ) and appointment management ( Portable Scheduler ), saved on a ROM, offered business people a suitable work tool.
