Ercan Altinsoy

Mehmet Ercan Altinsoy (* 1974 in Eskişehir , Turkey ) is an acoustician and professor at the Technical University of Dresden .

Ercan Altinsoy studied mechanical engineering at the Istanbul Technical University from 1992 to 1999 .

From 2000 to 2006 he did his doctorate at the Ruhr University Bochum under Jens Blauert on the subject of "Audiotactile interaction in virtual environments". In 2006 he came to the Technical University of Dresden as a research assistant, where he was temporarily head of the Communication Acoustics Chair from 2009 . In 2015 he qualified as a Dr.-Ing. habil .

In 2014 he was awarded the Lothar Cremer Prize of the German Society for Acoustics .

In May 2016 he was appointed full professor for acoustics and haptics at the TU Dresden .
