from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Ercole Rivani (* in the 17th century; † August 30, 1689 in Bologna ) was an Italian painter and architect.

Ercole Rivani was active in the second half of the 17th century and made altarpieces for churches in Bologna and Venice . It is possible that Ferdinando Galli da Bibiena designed his first stage sets for him in Bologna . In 1681 he worked as a theater machinist at Jean-Baptiste Lully's opera house in Paris.
