Earthing sleeve

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A ground sleeve serves to ground by coaxial cables of copper or aluminum of antenna systems of telecommunication ( Mobile ).

construction

Different earthing sleeves for different diameters

Earthing sleeves consist of an ozone and UV- resistant rubber jacket with a pocket-shaped receptacle for a feathering. The tinned feathering made of a special alloy enables the compensation of large differences in diameter between the sleeve and the coaxial cable, better length compensation and even and low contact pressure . These properties are also called relaxation behavior .

The Fiederung for stripped of insulation cable has a low contact resistance 0,1 to 0,15 milliohms. The transition resistance currently required is a maximum of 1 mΩ.

Assembly

To install an earthing sleeve with an integrated cable lug, the coaxial cable is stripped, the sleeve is placed around the cable at this point and closed with a screw.
