Erhard I. Jakobi

Erhard I. Jakobi was abbot of the Waldsassen monastery from 1486 to 1493.

Erhard I. came from Weiden and studied in Leipzig . Before he was appointed abbot of Waldsassen , he was prior and then abbot of Sedletz . Because of his strict guidance he drew the displeasure of the monks to and was forced to resign . He retired to the stone house in Eger . When he did not want to recognize the newly elected Abbot Georg I Engel after the death of his successor Erhard II Spede , his salary was withdrawn. He worked as a confessor in Brno, was abbot of the Skalitz monastery for three days and returned to Waldsassen in 1503.
