Erhard Rahm

Erhard Rahm (born April 24, 1959 in Heiligenmoschel ) is a German computer scientist and professor at the University of Leipzig . His research areas are database systems , data integration and big data .

Life

Rahm studied computer science at the Technical University of Kaiserslautern from 1979 to 1984 and received his doctorate there in 1988. After a research stay at IBM Research from 1988 to 1989, he was a university assistant at the Technical University of Kaiserslautern and completed his habilitation in 1993. Since 1994 he has held the C4 professorship for databases at the university Leipzig.
