Eric Bell (soccer player, 1922)
John Eric Bell (born February 13, 1922 in Bedlington , † October 22, 2004 in Heysham ) was an English football player .
Athletic career
Bell initially played for the works team of the Blyth Dry Docks & Shipbuilding Company . From there he moved in 1946 to the Blackburn Rovers , with whom in 1947 relegated from the First Division . For the next ten years he played with the club in the Second Division . By the end of his career in 1957, he played 323 league games for the club, in which he scored nine goals.
Bell played two selection games for a team of the Football League .
