Eric Chavez (boxer)
Eric Chavez (* 9. April 1965 in Cebu City , Philippines ) is a former Filipino boxer in the straw weight .
Professional career
In 1985 he successfully started his professional career. On September 12, 1989 he boxed against Nico Thomas for the WBO world championship and won by knockout. However, he lost this belt to Fahlan Sakkreerin in his first title defense in February of the following year .
In 1998 he ended his career.
