Eric Steel

Eric Steel (* 1964 ) is an American film director , screenwriter and film producer .

Life

Eric Steel, born in 1964, graduated from Yale University in 1985 , where he studied art history. He also attended the Phillips Exeter Academy . Steel was creative executive for Walt Disney Pictures , worked for the New York production company Cinecom and became Senior Vice President of Scott Rudin Productions in 1995, where he was executive producer in addition to the acquisition and development of many of the company's best-known feature film projects.

In April 2006 he presented his documentary The Bridge , including at the Tribeca Film Festival . Steel made his feature film debut as a director and screenwriter with the drama Minyan , which will celebrate its world premiere in February 2020 at the Berlinale .

Steel lives in New York City.
