Eric Sturgess
Eric William Sturgess (born May 10, 1920 in Johannesburg , † January 14, 2004 ) was a South African tennis player .
In the 1950s he won the Swedish Open three times and once the international German tennis championships (1952) in Hamburg . He also won mixed in 1949 with Sheila Piercey Summers and in 1950 with Louise Brough at Wimbledon .
For South Africa he played 18 times in the Davis Cup and won 13 games.
