Erich Eggeling

Erich Eggeling (born September 24, 1902 in Braunschweig , † 1984 ) was a German journalist.

Life

Eggeling was the son of the insurance salesman Ernst Eggeling and Hedwig Eggeling, b. Heindorf. After commercial activity, he worked as a journalist for the daily newspaper of the Young German Order, Der Jungdeutsche, from 1929 to 1933 . From 1933 to 1944 he wrote for the Deutsche Allgemeine Zeitung . From 1946 he worked for the German Press Service and the German Press Agency , where from 1949 head of the domestic editorial team, later head of the current news service and deputy editor-in-chief and from 1959 to 1967 editor-in-chief.
