Erich Hörtnagl

Erich Hörtnagl (born November 2, 1950 in Innsbruck ) is an Austrian director, filmmaker and artist. He comes from Steinach and lives with his family in Sweden .

After completing his studies at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna in 1976, he was awarded the Austrian State Prize in the same year . From 1976 to 1979 he studied directing, camera and editing at the Centro sperimentale di cinematografia in Rome . Since 1979 he has worked as a film and theater director, producer, screenwriter and line producer in Sweden, Austria, Germany and Denmark . Until 2004 he also held the position of project coordinator, expert advisor and advisory board spokesman at cinetirol.
