from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Erich Peter Adolf Huvendiek (born March 10, 1910 in Aachen , † January 29, 1986 in Oberhausen ) was a German study composer . He was a mechanical engineer by profession. He published his studies under the pseudonym Hufendiek.

Chess composition

Hufendiek published more than 100 studies since 1934 and was one of the most productive German study composers of the past century. With one exception, he published his works in German magazines, most of them in Schach-Echo . There were initially no annual tournaments, which explains the low number of awards he has received.
