Erich Krause (chemist)
Erich Krause (born July 23, 1895 in Potsdam , † January 22, 1932 ) was a German chemist.
Krause was the son of a teacher and from 1913 studied chemistry at the TH Berlin-Charlottenburg and the University of Berlin with his doctorate in 1917. He then worked as an assistant at the Institute for Inorganic Chemistry at the University of Berlin. In 1923 he completed his habilitation at the TH Berlin, where he became a private lecturer and in 1927 an associate professor.
Krause synthesized the first organic silver compound (silver phenyl ) in 1918 and he dealt with organic boron compounds (first synthesis of boron alkylene and boron arylene).
