Erich Lukas

Erich Lukas (born March 26, 1964 in Linz , Upper Austria ) is an Austrian chef .

Career

Lukas mother Elfriede Lukas is also a cook who learned her trade in " Tantris " from Eckart Witzigmann and who was the predecessor of her son in the Verdi restaurant. He completed an apprenticeship with Hansi Unterberger. After a few years of “wandering” at home and abroad, where he gained experience with Rainer Husar am Arlberg and at Freihaus Brenner am Tegernsee , he took over the family business Verdi Diele in Linz at the age of 22. Today, in addition to the Verdi restaurant, he also runs the Einkehr restaurant in Linz.

Awards

In 2010, Gault Millau Austria rated its restaurant Einkehr with one toque (14 points) and its restaurant Verdi with two toques (15 points). The Michelin Guide awarded the Verdi restaurant one star in its last edition in Austria.
