Erich Pfeiffer

Erich Pfeiffer (born July 31, 1895 in Wetzlar ; † April 7, 1970 there ) was a German entrepreneur.

Career

Pfeiffer was born as the son of the factory owner Arthur Pfeiffer. After studying physics and economics and obtaining his doctorate, he joined his father's company, Arthur Pfeiffer Vakuumtechnik Wetzlar GmbH , as junior manager in 1927 . When his father died, he took over the management in 1947. He pushed for the reconstruction after the war and pushed the development of vacuum pumps forward. In 1969 the family-run company became part of the Liechtenstein Balzers Group. Pfeiffer resigned from the management on December 10, 1969 and moved to the supervisory board.

In 1965 he and his wife transferred their property to the Dr. Erich Pfeiffer Foundation .
