Erich Poyntner

Erich Poyntner (* 1960 in St. Pölten ) is an Austrian university lecturer, high school teacher and writer.

Life

After graduating from high school in Tulln, Poyntner studied German and Russian at the University of Vienna and completed a semester abroad in Leningrad . He then became a teacher at the Josefstrasse high school for Russian and German and taught at the Institute for Slavonic Studies at the University of Vienna with a focus on subject didactics. In 2012 he was the winner of the International Pushkin Competition.
