Erich Ramstetter

Erich Ramstetter (born September 20, 1925 in Ludwigshafen am Rhein ) is a Catholic priest.

Erich Ramstetter was ordained a priest in 1950, was city dean of Ludwigshafen and retired in 1998 and holds the papal honorary title Monsignore (Msg.) . From 1971 to 1998 he was pastor of the Friesenheim community . He lives in Ludwigshafen and has been an honorary citizen of the city of Ludwigshafen am Rhein since July 13, 1998. In 1960 Ramstetter is a member of the Catholic student associations Vasgovia zu Landau and Merowingia zu Kaiserslautern in the CV and since 1963 a member of the CDU and was one of the oldest and closest friends of Helmut Kohl . He celebrated the funeral mass for Hannelore Kohl in the Speyer Cathedral . With his brother Fritz , also a friend of Kohl, he founded the "Erich Brothers and Fritz Ramstetter Foundation".
