Erich Schincke
Erich Schincke (born December 23, 1917 - † February 12, 1979 ) was a German mathematician .
Life
The son of Alfred Schincke (1891–1981) and his wife Meta (1890–1967) from Johanngeorgenstadt received his doctorate in 1953 at the University of Halle-Wittenberg with the dissertation “ Solutions to the third boundary value problem of potential theory and Prandtl's integrodifferential equation” . In 1963 he became a lecturer at the University of Halle, where he was professor for numerical mathematics with a teaching assignment from 1965 until his death in 1979 .
