Erich Ströh

Erich Ströh (born July 15, 1915 in Hamburg ; † September 8, 2015 in Bremen ) was a German politician ( SPD ) and a member of the Bremen citizenship .

biography

Family, education and work

Ströh attended school in Kiel from 1922 to 1933. He learned the profession of electromechanic. As a fitter, he went to Bremen. He first lived in Bremen- Huchting and was employed by AG Weser . He later moved to Bremen- Gröpelingen . In the 1950s he worked in legal advice at the Bremen Chamber of Labor , later as managing director. He also worked as a clerk for social policy in Bremen.

Ströh was married and had a son. After 1972 he lived in Bremen- Borgfeld .

politics

After 1945 he was a member of the SPD and active there in his local SPD association in Gröpelingen and in the SPD sub-district of Bremen-West.

From 1959 to 1971 he was a member of the Bremen citizenship for twelve years and was active in various deputations and committees of the citizenship, including the deputations for the construction industry, for vocational and technical schools as well as for art and science. He was significantly involved in the development of the Technical College Act and the Vocational Training Act.
