Erich Sulzer

Erich Sulzer (born November 10, 1929 in Herzogenburg , † June 12, 1987 in Stuttgart ) was an Austrian politician ( SPÖ ). In 1969 he was a member of the Federal Council and from 1969 to 1983 a member of the Lower Austrian state parliament .

After completing elementary, secondary and commercial school, Sulzer worked for the Lower Austrian Regional Health Insurance Fund from 1946. He was elected to the Herzogenburg municipal council in 1955 and was promoted to city council in 1958, and a year later he became vice mayor. He then took over the office of mayor between 1965 and 1984 and was also district party chairman of the SPÖ in the St. Pölten district between 1969 and 1982 . He represented the SPÖ Lower Austria from March 6, 1969 to October 19, 1969 in the Federal Council and was then from November 20, 1969 to November 4, 1983 a member of the Lower Austrian state parliament. Sulzer had a fatal accident in Stuttgart in 1987.
