Erik "Panzer" Hagen (born July 20, 1975 in Veme ) is a Norwegian football player . The central defender currently plays for Norwegian club Hønefoss BK .

Career

Erik Hagen played for Norwegian medium-sized companies for a long time, only after his move to Vålerenga Oslo did he become more popular. After he was voted Norwegian Player of the Year in 2004, he was called up to the Norwegian national team for the first time at the age of 29 .

His call-up to the national team and the election to player of the year made him interesting for clubs abroad. Zenit St. Petersburg was able to win the player for approx. 2.4 million euros. Erik Hagen was the first Norwegian to venture into Russia.

Hagen quickly integrated into the team and was immediately a regular. In the first season he played 28 games and received 12 cautions. At the end of the season he was elected vice-captain. In January 2008 he moved to the Premier League club Wigan Athletic on loan until the end of the season .

After his unsuccessful guest appearance in England, he returned to his regular club Vålerenga Oslo in the summer of 2008 .

His twin brother Rune Hagen is also a professional footballer.
