Erik Meyer-Helmund

Erik Meyer-Helmund (born April 13, 1861 in Saint Petersburg , Russian Empire , † April 4, 1932 in Berlin ) was a European composer and singer .

Life

He received his first piano lessons from his father. He later went to Berlin and became a student of Friedrich Kiel and Julius Stockhausen . His most famous works were his operas "The Two Klingsberg" and "The Fight of Love". He also wrote a one-act burlesque entitled "Tischka", ballet music, instrumental music, numerous piano pieces and songs.
