Erik Wedelin

Erik Wedelin (* 1850 in Sweden ; † 1881 ) was a Swedish landscape painter from the Düsseldorf School .

Life

Wedelin attended the drawing school of the Gothenburg Art Museum and the Stockholm Art Academy . From around 1873 to 1875 he lived in Düsseldorf . Since he died of pulmonary tuberculosis at the age of 31, his oeuvre is quite small. His open-air painting , which is represented with some works in the Swedish National Museum , is of the highest level.
